Who we are

We are a group of local Armadale residents who support more housing in our suburb — done the right way. We believe Armadale can grow without losing what makes it special. The State Government wants more homes in Armadale.  So do we. But their one-size-fits-all, fast-tracked approach will do lasting damage to our neighbourhood

More Homes? Yes.
This Plan? No

What’s Being Proposed

Under the Government’s plan, developers can build apartment blocks 3 to 6 storey high across most of Armadale.  Approvals would be fast-tracked, limiting your right to object, appeal, or have a meaningful say. Council would be forced to approve developments, regardless of local impact.

What This Means for You

  • More cars on already crowded streets, with little parking required for new developments

  • Increased congestion and pressure on local infrastructure

  • Gradual loss of housing diversity that defines Armadale

5

years of extensive planning and consultation

The City of Stonnington has already developed a smarter plan. It took  five years of community consultation  and careful planning. It focuses growth around existing activity centres where infrastructure can support it.
